Top Ten NASCAR Holiday Gifts

Do you have a special NASCAR fan that deserves a great present this Christmas? Well, today, I’m bringing you some ideas on what to wrap up and put under the tree for race fans young and old alike. If you have more great ideas or have questions or links for more of the same, feel free to leave a comment! Let’s start, shall we?
10. Die-cast models.
This traditional gift is sure to please both the young and the old NASCAR fan in your life. My four year old loves his cars that we got him to play with and race. My husband and I also have some we’ve put aside and display of our favorite drivers, particularly fun paint jobs, or classic cars. Find out a favorite driver and then all you have to choose between is a 1:24 size or a 1:64 size. If you are looking for die-cast models of the Craftsman Truck Series, check out The Sunday Hauler for a good selection. The NASCAR.com Superstore has a nice selection of Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series cars and drivers can be found At the Track.
9. NASCAR Fridge
Okay, so this one is a little impractical and definitely pricey, but I just couldn’t resist. These NASCAR guys think of everything! You can get yourself a compact fridge with a few select drivers (Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart) or a refrigerator that looks like a standing toolbox. These little beauties can be found at the NASCAR Superstore.
8. NASCAR Office Supplies
Do you have a business person in your life who yearns to drive 200 miles per hour in circles? Then maybe this is the gift you should be looking at! From laptop skins to mouse pads to memo holders to calendars of their favorite drivers, race fans can deck out their offices to help the time pass on weekdays until it’s racing time on the weekends. Both the NASCAR.com Superstore and Fan’s Edge have great selections.
7. NASCAR Holiday Gear
Help your favorite race fan get into the holiday spirit with some great NASCAR Holiday decorations. Everything from Nutcrackers to Christmas ornaments and Santa zipping around in a race car sled should bring Holiday cheer to any NASCAR fan’s home. Check out the Holiday Store to see the selection.
6. Books
With some great pictures and wonderful memories, NASCAR books are a great gift for the holidays. The NASCAR.com Superstore has books for both kids and adults that are centered around racing today and memories of classic races and drivers. There are also hundreds of books to choose from at Amazon.com from biographies to pictures books and more. You’re sure to find something great for all of the race fans on your list.

5. Bedroom and Bathroom Supplies
I’ll admit it that the thought of Jeff Gordon dental floss makes me giggle, but it sure gets my four year old to floss his teeth regularly! This category is mostly for kids with its sheet sets and curtains, but your older race fan may need a shower curtain or toothbrush holder of his or her favorite driver. Check out the NASCAR.com Superstore or the CBS Sports Store for more ideas.
4. NASCAR Apparel
Let’s face it. Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s “red army” is seeing green with his move to Hendrick Motorsports and his new sponsor. They are going to have to trade in their wardrobe for the new designs, and you can get them a head start this holiday season with a new shirt, hat, or even jacket. If Dale Jr. isn’t their favorite, there are plenty other drivers to choose from at the NASCAR.com Superstore or other locations such as Walmart. Both men’s and women’s apparel is available.
3. Grilling Gear
There is nothing better than grilling out in the summer with your family and watching a NASCAR race on the weekends. What a great way to set up the memories for next year than with some new NASCAR grilling gear. Everything from propane tanks to grilling tools to grill covers are fun gifts for the grillmaster in your life. Check out NASCAR Things or the NASCAR.com Superstore for ideas.
2. Tailgating Necessities
Whether or not your race fan actually goes to the track or watches the races on TV, tailgating is always fun. Of course they will need all the accessories to have a good time. You can get chairs, coolers, flags, beverage buckets, blankets, and snack tables to set the tailgating mood. The NASCAR.com Superstore has a lot of great items that would go along nicely with…
1. Race Tickets
Obviously, all NASCAR fans would love to actually go to a race. Surprisingly enough, most of the NASCAR tickets are quite affordable if you live near a track. Even if you don’t, it is always a nice getaway to spend a weekend with the roar of the engines cheering on your favorite driver. You can spend the weekend watching the trucks, Nationwide, and Sprint cup series, or just catch one of the races for a great time. The best bet to get tickets without price gouging is to go directly to the track’s website and order your tickets that way. You can get a schedule of the 2008 season at NASCAR.com.
