Nextel Cup Results 9/23 (Dover)
And the big one hit with just 13 laps to go when Kurt Busch broke a wheel. 12 cars were taken out of the race, including Chase contenders Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr., and Jimmie Johnson. Denny Hamlin also had a rough night after getting together with Kyle Petty early in the race. Carl Edwards, whom NASCAR.com has dubbed the “King of Concrete”, won the race, but his car did not pass post-race inspection. Apparently his right rear was too low, which Edwards and car owner Jack Rousch are confident the officials will find is due to a bent frame rather than any wrongdoing from the crew. Any fines or penalties will be announced on Tuesday. Here is how the entire field finished:
