Busch Series Championship Banquet Pictures
Thursday, December 13th, 2007The Nextel Cup Series drivers got to tour New York City and light up the town for their Championship Banquet week a couple weeks ago. Last weekend, it was time for the drivers from the Busch Series to take center stage in Orlando, Florida. The top ten drivers were there to accept their awards, along with the Owner’s Championship team and drivers. While many of the faces are familiar, as they participated in the Nextel Cup ceremony as well, some of the Busch Series regulars managed to secure top ten spots in the drivers’ points to take the stage themselves. I’ve obtained some great pictures of the drivers from the banquet looking good all cleaned up. For more pictures, click after the jump.

Carl Edwards was once again unable to clinch the championship this week with his lackluster 25th place finish. It was a great day for David Reutimann and his Toyota team, however, as he captured his first career win in the Busch Series. Jeff Burton found his way to victory lane after leading 61 laps in the Dollar General 300 at Lowe’s Motorspeedway in Charlotte, NC. This was Burton’s 4th win in the Busch Series this season, as he managed to survive through 10 cautions and 11 lead changes among 5 different drivers.
Two of the three of the top NASCAR series are in action this weekend, as the Chase for the Championship heats up and the Busch Series drivers try to chip away at Carl Edwards’ lead. The Nextel Cup and Busch Series cars will make their way around Lowe’s Motorspeedway in Charlotte, NC, while the Craftsman Trucks take the weekend off and get ready to race at Martinsville next weekend.
